Test Automation is a powerful tool that can help you save time and money, reduce wasted cycles, and improve the quality of your project, but it does require some work to succeed. But don’t worry, we’re here to help.
You will need a basic understanding of:

Game Engines
- For example: Unity or Unreal Engine
- Work with objects/actors
- Understand user inputs
- Basic scripting knowledge is recommended

Using an IDE
- For example: Visual Studio, VS Code, or Rider
- Create a class
- Add/use references
- Execute code/tests
- Basic Debugging

The C# programming language
- Application development experience is not required
- Write simple code structures
- Create and use variables
- Control statements
- Work with simple types

Automated Testing
- Here is an example course, many others exist
- Know how to define tests
- Create positive and negative test cases
- Knowledge of test reusability and maintenance

Success Criteria
- A checklist of what you intend to achieve during this 2-week trial period. We recommend between 5-10 requirements so as not to overwhelm yourself, and to help prioritize what is important to you and your team.
- What specific elements are you planning to test? E.g. User inputs, UI features, or gameplay mechanics
- What platform(s) do you want to make sure are supported?

What’s included in the trial?
The trial license entitles you to use five (5) GameDriver licenses for up to two (2) weeks from the time of enrollment. During this time, you will have access to all of the features of GameDriver, including:
